Ben
Conrique was a member of "Code 3 Cover" from May 2001 to May
2003. He is a Detective for the San Diego County Sheriff's Department,
currently assigned to the Background Investigations Unit as a Polygraph/Voice
Stress Examiner. He has been with the Department for 18 years.
Ben is married to his wife of 9 years, Julie, who is also a Detective with the Department. He has two daughters in college, Rachel and Emily. Ben has been playing guitar since his sophomore year in high school, but, this is his first involvement with a live performance group. Ben's favorite artists/groups are Los Lonely Boys, The Beatles, Eric Clapton, Van Halen, Jim Croce, The Rascals, Tim McGraw, James Taylor, Sister Hazel, Fleetwood Mac, Journey, No Doubt, John Mayer, Jason Mraz, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Gypsy Kings and Andres Segovia. Musical influences - NONE (he just plays what he's told!) His interests (outside of the band) include skiing with Julie, listening to live local bands, playing his Alvarez classical guitar, soccer, drinking venti Starbucks mocha coffees and, especially, trading e-mail with his sister Susan in Germany. Ben plays a Fender American Series Stratocaster and a Gibson "Faded" Les Paul, through a Marshall "Half Stack" (JCM 2000 DSL amplifier head and JCM900 cabinet). His signal connection is through a Shure T4N wireless system. He uses a V-Tech VTND1 microphone for background vocals. Ben is the Webmaster for this site. |
