Erik's parents bought him his first electric guitar on his twelfth birthday.  After two years of lessons, he put the guitar down to lift weights like a "meat head".  Several years later he learned to sing and play the acoustic guitar in order to lead worship at his church.  "Code 3 Cover" is his first time playing in a band, and believe me, it's obvious!

Erik has a passion for music of all types.  His main interests are eighties style rock and seventies style acoustic and vocals.  His band favorites range from old school Van Halen, Satriani, Extreme, Bon Jovi, Boston, Billy Idol, Heart, Dokken, Led Zeppelin and Fleetwood Mac to Nickelback, Keith Green, Da Da, Jars of Clay, Eagles, Madonna, Paul Stookie, Kansas, Shania Twain, Lee Ann Womack and Pearl Brick.

Erik's favorite guitar player, by far, is Edward Van Halen - I mean, come on, he wrote Eruption 25 years ago!

His favorite place to be, in the whole wide world, is with his family, anywhere, especially at home.

Erik has more money invested in his sound equipment than anybody - He plays a customized Jackson with an E.M.G. pickup (which he bought used for $200), a Princeton Chorus D.S.P. amplifier (ask Guitar Trader for price), and has two guitar chords, a foot pedal, and that's not all.....a power cord....
