
Steven Coon was a member of "Code 3 Cover" during May,
2003. He has been playing in and around Southern California for over
20 years. In the early 80's he played extensively in the bustling San Diego
club scene with the high energy cover band Freewill. The band also went
on to travel throughout the Southwest and release an EP on Rockshire Records.
Steven then went on to compose and play with the prog-rock original
group Travesty, opening for many major acts in Southern. California (including
REO Speedwagon, Julian Lennon and Eddie Money among others). In the 90's
Steven played many of San Diego's top clubs with Mr. Red Shoes, performing
a wide variety of powerful dance music. He also released a successful independent
CD called "A Loss for Words", a collection of instrumental guitar music
which garnered many rave reviews and nominations for several awards.
He is currently also playing with "Doctor Strut", YES-tribute
band "Roundabout" (Reader magazine's "Best Retro Band") and the "Ben Robinson
Band" (a Texas-Blues flavored act which recently garnered a spot at the
Apollo Theatre in New York as finalists in their national competition.
